“What are you thinking? I’m sure Keith likes you,” I said with certainty. 

Keith’s gaze at Lisa was full of affection, but right now, she was unconfident. 

I wouldn’t blame her though. After all, she had a crush on Keith for so many years without ever confessing because she thought he was too outstanding. 

This showed her insecurity. Perhaps only Keith’s direct response could heal her. As an outsider, there was no way I could make her understand this, so I didn’t want to waste time convincing her. 

“I’m heading back. Tonight, make sure you dress up nicely and get ready for your date. Also, make sure to switch your shifts ahead of time. No matter how urgent something is, don’t miss the appointment.” 

I nagged her like I was her mom. She laughed, echoing my sentiment. 

“Even my mom doesn’t worry this much.” That was because her mom didn’t know about her crush. 

“Good luck, Liz,” I said, giving her a fist bump as encouragement. “I’m leaving now.” 

“Wait! Don’t go yet. Come with me to the office,” Lisa demanded, holding me back. 

“Why? I need to get back and discuss Brandon’s sister’s matter,” I reminded her. 

Lísa held onto me, saying, “This won’t take long.” 

Not knowing what she was up to, I followed her into the office where she pulled out a tube of ointment from a drawer and handed it to me. 

“What’s this?” I asked, examining it. 

Before I could figure out what it was, Lisa had already started explaining how to use it. “When you get home, clean yourself down there and apply this. It’ll help reduce swelling and promote circulation.” 

I instantly realized what the ointment was for. Even though she was my best friend who had seen me naked in the bath, it still made me blush. 

My mouth moved to protest, “I don’t need this.”

I fidgeted with the tube in my hand. “Is it really that serious?”
