Brandon looked at me, and I could feel his nervousness. 

It seemed he was feeling guilty. 

As expected, no man was truly indifferent when it came to the woman he loved. 

Seeing Brandon’s rare nervous expression made me smile inwardly as I deliberately kept a serious expression. 

I stood in front of him without saying a word. Brandon moved his lips as if he wanted to speak, but he seemed to be debating whether he should. 

For someone usually so straightforward, seeing him hesitate like this made him seem like a child who had done something wrong and didn’t know what to do. 

I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. It made him even more confused.

I reached out, took the milk he had prepared for me, and stood on tiptoe to kiss him on the cheek. “Thank 

you. 

After that, I started walking out of the house while calling over my shoulder, “Grab my bag.” 

Brandon followed me all the way downstairs. He was visibly relaxed now. 

When we reached the car, I switched things up and headed to the passenger side instead. Then, I tossed the car keys to Brandon and said, “You drive.” 

He took the wheel while I settled into the passenger seat, leisurely drinking the warm milk he had made while enjoying the music. I felt more relaxed and at ease than ever before. 

As we were nearing the company, Brandon suddenly pulled over by a bus stop. 

“What’s the matter?” I asked him. 

“Didn’t you say we shouldn’t let our colleagues know about our relationship? I thought it’d be better if I got off here to avoid any misunderstandings in case they see us together.” Brandon’s reminder caught me off guard. I had completely forgotten about that. 

Shouldn’t he be the one forgetting such things? Yet here he was, reminding me. 

What did this mean? 

Suddenly, I thought about how the other women at the company had admired and swooned over Brandon after he dealt with Yerrick. My mood soured instantly. 

“Brandon, are you worried that being with me will hurt your chances of attracting other women at the company?” I accused, feeling unreasonable. 

“Of course not!” Brandon denied it immediately.
