After Alex left. Ellie felt a lingering unease in her heart. 

She was willing to believe that the law was fair and just. But she also knew that the world was never fair

As dusk fell, Ellie pushed open the door to a hourious suite in the Earl Hotel 

Inside the private room. Alex was playing cards with a few people. Seeing Ellie, drenched from the rain, standing at the door, Alex pulled his gaze back carelessly and continued to shuille the cards.
