Chapter 134
The chamber was vast, its walls glittering with crystalline formations that refracted the silvery light. Ancient relics lay scattered across the floor: ceremonial daggers, fragments of armor, and broken shards of celestial artifacts. At the center of it all stood a pedestal, atop which rested a crystalline object.
Anica’s voice wavered with awe. “The Heart of Solara.”
Aurora approached the pedestal, the Heart’s glow growing brighter with every step. It seemed to pulse in time with her own heartbeat, its energy simultaneously soothing and overwhelming.
“Be careful,” Cassian warned, his eyes fixed on the artifact.
Aurora reached out, her fingers hovering above the crystalline surface. A sudden surge of light enveloped her, and she gasped as a vision overtook her. She saw glimpses of the Pact’s creation—a bond forged in desperation to protect the werewolf realm from a primordial darkness. She also saw the Lycan King, his form twisted and corrupted as he tore through the guardians of the Pact, claiming its power for himself.
The vision ended abruptly, leaving Aurora gasping for air.
“What did you see?” Cassian asked, his voice laced with concern.
“The Pact… it’s more fragile than we thought,” Aurora said, her voice trembling. “The Heart can restore it, but the energy is volatile. If we make one wrong move, it could destroy everything.”
