Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 179

Chapter 179

The air hung heavy with the weight of impending doom as the pack regrouped, their bodies battered and their spirits frayed. Smoke from the battlefield curled into the overcast sky, a grim reminder of the chaos they faced. Aurora stood amidst the wolves, her silver hair disheveled but her resolve unshaken. Her daughter’s faint cries from the safety of the healer’s tent echoed in her mind, spurring her forward.

Cassian emerged from the forest, his armor torn and blood streaking his face. His expression softened as his gaze met Aurora’s, though the exhaustion in his eyes spoke volumes.

“You shouldn’t be out here,” he said, his voice hoarse but firm.

Aurora’s jaw tightened. “I have no choice. It’s time to end this, Cassian.”

He stepped closer, placing a hand on her shoulder. “We’ll face him together. But you have to promise me one thing—don’t let the Pact take you.”

Before she could respond, Selene approached, the urgency in her eyes cutting through the brief moment of connection. “Aurora, the Pact is growing unstable. If the Lycan King isn’t stopped now, it won’t matter what we do. This is your fight. The rest of us can only buy you time.”

Aurora nodded, her hand tightening around the hilt of the enchanted blade Cassian had retrieved from the ruins. The weapon seemed to hum in her grip, resonating with the power of the Pact.

“I won’t fail,” she said, more to herself than anyone else.

Selene’s expression softened as she placed a hand over Aurora’s. “The Pact is with you. Let it guide you, but don’t lose yourself in its power.”
