Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 36

Chapter 36

The air crackled with tension as Cassian and Fenrir’s wolves circled each other, their snarls echoing through the dense forest. Aurora stood frozen, her breath catching in her throat as she watched the two Alphas face off.

Cassian’s wolf form was lean and powerful, his dark fur bristling as he held his ground. Fenrir, larger and more imposing, let out a guttural growl, his golden eyes fixed on his opponent.

“You’re out of your depth, Cassian,” Fenrir snarled, his voice low and dangerous. “Step aside, and I’ll let your pack walk away unscathed.”

Cassian’s wolf responded with a deep growl, the sound reverberating through the clearing. He shifted seamlessly back to human form, his expression calm but resolute.

“She’s not yours to take,” Cassian said, his voice steady. “Aurora has found safety here, and I won’t let you drag her back into your chaos.”

Fenrir shifted as well, his imposing figure towering over Cassian. “Safety?” he sneered. “She belongs with her mate—with me. Or have you forgotten what it means to honor the bond?”

“The bond you shattered when you abandoned her?” Cassian countered, his words sharp.

Fenrir’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t respond. Instead, he turned his gaze to Aurora, his expression softening slightly. “Aurora,” he said, his voice low and insistent. “You know you don’t belong here. Come back with me, and I’ll make things right.”

Aurora’s heart raced as his words washed over her. For a brief moment, she saw the man she had once loved—the one she had thought would stand by her side forever. But the memory of his cold rejection and Arianna’s smug smile burned through the illusion.

“No,” she said firmly, her voice trembling but resolute. “You don’t get to decide where I belong. Not anymore.”

Fenrir’s eyes darkened, and he took a step toward her, but Cassian moved between them, his stance protective.

“She’s made her choice,” Cassian said, his voice low and dangerous. “Leave.”

Fenrir’s snarl was immediate, and he lunged without warning. The two Alphas collided with a ferocity that shook the ground, their growls and snarls filling the air.

Aurora stumbled back, her hands clutching her abdomen as Lila pulled her toward the trees. “We need to go,” Lila urged, her voice steady but urgent.
