Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42

The morning air was thick with tension as Cassian prepared his wolves for the preemptive strike. He stood in the training grounds, his voice steady as he issued commands. Nathan and Gideon flanked him, their expressions grim but resolute.

“We strike at dusk,” Cassian announced. “We’ll hit their camp hard and fast. If we weaken them now, it’ll buy us time to fortify our defenses.”

Gideon nodded but raised an eyebrow. “And what happens if they’re waiting for us?”

Cassian’s gaze didn’t waver. “Then we fight our way out.”

Aurora stood at the edge of the grounds, her heart pounding as she listened. She had tried to talk Cassian out of the attack the night before, but his resolve was unshakable.

“You can’t change his mind,” Iris said softly, appearing beside her. “Once he’s decided, that’s it.”

Aurora glanced at her, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. “That doesn’t mean he’s right.”
