Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 45

“I’m not leaving you,” Aurora protested, her voice trembling.

Before either could move, the rogue lunged. Lila met him head-on, her movements sharp and precise. She fought with a ferocity that made Aurora’s chest tighten with both pride and fear.

But the rogue was relentless. Lila staggered, her breaths coming in sharp gasps. Another rogue emerged from the shadows, his eyes narrowing on Aurora.

“Stay back!” Aurora shouted, her voice breaking.

The rogue sneered, his claws flashing in the moonlight as he advanced. Lila saw him and, with a burst of strength, launched herself at him. She slammed into the rogue, driving him back—but the effort cost her.

Aurora’s scream echoed through the forest as Lila fell, blood pooling beneath her.

“Mom!” Aurora cried, dropping to her knees beside her.

Lila’s breaths were shallow, her hand trembling as she reached for Aurora. “You have to… protect them,” she whispered. “Protect yourself.”

Her eyes fluttered shut, and Aurora felt her world shatter.

The stress and grief hit her all at once. A sharp, searing pain ripped through her abdomen, and she doubled over, clutching her belly.

Cassian fought at the front lines, his movements quick and deadly despite his injuries. Nathan was beside him, their wolves working in tandem to drive the rogues back.

“Alpha!” a scout called out, his voice urgent. “It’s Aurora—she’s in trouble!”

Cassian’s heart dropped. Without hesitation, he broke away from the fight, his mind racing as he sprinted toward the safe house.
