Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 87

Chapter 87

The fissures spread out across the forest like scars, their jagged edges glowing faintly with the same sickly green light that radiated from the Lycan King’s power. Aurora stood at the edge of one, her chest tightening as she felt the unnatural energy pulsing from within.

“This is it,” Anica said, their tone grim. “The energy’s flowing directly to him. If we disrupt it here, it should weaken his hold on the Pact.”

Nathan studied the fissure, his expression wary. “Should?”

“It’s not an exact science,” Anica admitted, their smirk faint. “But it’s better than nothing.”

Aurora gripped her blade tightly. “Then let’s get to work.”

The team split into smaller groups, each tasked with targeting one of the fissures. Aurora, Cassian, Anica, and Nathan stayed together, their movements careful as they navigated the forest.

The air grew colder as they approached the next fissure, the unnatural chill seeping into their bones. Shadow beasts prowled nearby, their glowing eyes scanning the darkness.

“Stay sharp,” Nathan murmured, his blade already drawn.

Aurora raised her weapon, the glow of the Celestial Pact faint but steady. She could feel the bond stirring within her, its warmth pushing against the oppressive energy of the fissure.
