Chapter 94
A low, menacing laugh echoed through the clearing, stopping Aurora in her tracks.
“You’re persistent, little Luna,” the Lycan King’s voice rang out, his tone mocking. “But persistence only takes you so far.”
Aurora turned to see him standing at the edge of the clearing, his glowing eyes fixed on her. His presence was magnetic and oppressive, the air around him rippling with dark energy.
Cassian stepped in front of Aurora, his blade raised. “You’ve already lost.”
The Lycan King smirked, his gaze flicking to Aurora. “Have I? Or have you simply fallen into my trap?”
He raised his hand, and the ground beneath the fissure trembled violently. A massive construct of shadow and flame emerged, its claws slashing through the air as it let out a deafening roar.
Aurora’s breath caught as the creature turned its glowing eyes on her, its presence radiating malice.
“Stop the fissure!” Nathan shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos.
Aurora gritted her teeth, the bond’s energy surging within her as she focused on the fissure. The light from her blade clashed with the darkness, the two forces colliding in a violent explosion.
