Flint‘s gaze became profound and cold.

He stared at Jasmine with a sneer and said, “So, do you think you have a chance to be with me?”

“It doesn‘t matter if I have the chance or not. You shouldn‘t be with a woman like Adina again!” Jasmine gritted her teeth and said, “She has two kids, and they‘re illegitimate children with an unknown father. You‘re the young master of the Morton family. You should –”

“Shut up!”

Flint stopped her from finishing her sentence. His eyes were filled with coldness. 

“I asked Adina for help to reject you because I wanted to defend your dignity. Who the heck are you to criticize Adina?” 

After he said that, he glanced at Jasmine with contempt. Then, he turned around and left.

Jasmine was so angry that she trembled. She and Flint had been in a relationship a few years ago. But after she fell in love with him, Flint broke up with her.

She never forgot him all these years. After she finally met him again, she put aside the reservation and restraint that a woman would typically have, ignoring her dignity as she went after him. Unexpectedly, this unattainable man was a fan of another woman.

Jasmine kept cursing on the way back to the Jones family home. As soon as she stepped into the house, Zhenny targeted her. 

“You haven‘t gone to the company lately. Where have you been?”

 “I wasn‘t feeling well, so I applied for a few days off.”

 While Jasmine explained, the cold Zhenny angrily said, “Weren‘t feeling well? Stop giving me this bullsh*t excuse! You‘ll have to report the outcome of your project in seven days. If you have nothing to show for, you‘re not qualified to be my daughter!”

Jasmine held her breath and said, “That project is complete, and it‘s in the audit and accounting phase now. There won‘t be any problems.” “That‘s more like it.”
