Kathryn looked at her three brothers and said, “I get it. I know you’re angry and frustrated, so if you want to vent and shout at me, go ahead. I can take it. I won’t hold it against you for that. 
But don’t even think about going back to the Farrell family mansion to take antiques or valuable items to sell. Those things have been in the family for generations and are meant to stay that way. Nobody has the right to sell them. 
Even Mom knew not to touch those things. So don’t listen to Dad’s schemes about selling them. That would be stealing, and if your cousin calls the police, you’ll be in serious trouble. 
Don’t expect me to bail you out, and you can’t rely on Dad either. He’s always been more interested in what he could gain from the Farrell family for the Janzen family than anything else.” 
Kathryn believed that Holden did have some feelings for Clarissa, but their marriage was far from genuine love. It was a deal filled with complications.
