Chapter 2334
Naya was trying on wedding gowns at a bridal shop near Graham Manor, so it did not take much time for her to get there. Moreover, she was speeding all the way, so she arrived quickly. Madeline heard the footsteps and looked back. When she saw Naya's hurried expression, she raised her pink lips slightly. “Miss Mendez, you came so quickly. Were you afraid that if you delayed for even a second, I would ruin your meticulous plans?”
Naya's face sank, but since Daniel was here, she knew that she had to put on an act.
She immediately responded with an aggrieved expression, “Mrs. Whitman, I really don't understand what you mean by that. I know you and Ava are very good friends, but this is not how you should help your friend. You can't slander me again and again.”
In the face of Naya's fake disguise, Madeline only gave her a cold look with an unwavering expression.
“Naya, your acting skills are really superb. You can do one thing in front of others and do something completely different thing behind their backs. These tricks can only deceive those ignorant women and children.”
Daniel's mother felt that Madeline was mocking her when she heard the words ‘ignorant women and children’.
She smacked her lips in dissatisfaction but did not seem to want to interrupt.
Daniel's mother simply stood at the side as she knew that Naya still had some fighting spirit left in her.
Naya started to stand up for herself at this moment. She turned toward Madeline quite imposingly and retorted, “Mrs. Whitman, don't go too far. Although the Montgomery and Whitman families have great power, this doesn’t mean you can bully me whenever you want.”
Naya walked up to Daniel with a face full of grievances. “Dan, I don't know what Mrs. Whitman told you, but you must not believe her. Since the day I decided to stay by your side when I was a child, my heart has always been yours. I've never lied to you.”
Naya raised her eyes while forcing tears to well up in them. She looked pitifully at Daniel who had a frown on his face.
