Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 10

Laura prepared external drugs, and Lumma helped Adam apply them.

She was focused. Even though she had never had close contact with a man, she didn’t feel embarrassed when she treated him as a patient.

Adam blushed slightly. Fortunately, that couldn’t be found because of the allergy.

Adam had been married for more than a year. He only met his wife once and had never had close contact with a woman, so he was at a loss.

After applying drugs on Adam’s back, Lumma applied drugs on his chest. She moved back and forth in front of him, and her unique fragrance went into his nose…

“I’ll do it myself,” Adam suddenly said in a deep voice. Lumma was startled because she was concentrating on applying drugs.

Lumma looked at him in confusion. “Mr. Hills, did I hurt you?”

Adam said with a sullen face, “Steve, send her back.”

Lumma glanced out the window. It was getting light, and she didn’t want to trouble others. “I’ll take a taxi.”

Adam said, “OK.”

That was out of Lumma’s expectations.

How could he be so unpredictable?

After Lumma left, Laura said, “Adam, Ms. Louis is pretty good.”

Adam asked, “Do you want her to be your daughter-in-law?”

Laura said, “Do I mean that?”

Adam asked, “What do you mean?”

Laura was speechless.

She didn’t know why she said that.

In the next few days, Lumma suffered a lot.

She thought carefully about the work of the past few days. Everything was done well. However, Adam suddenly became a scary demon and was always picky.

Lumma reaiized Adam was dissatisfied with her, and Leonard realized that too. While having lunch with Lumma, he couldn’t help asking, “Lumma, how did you offend Mr. Hills?”

Lumma was aggrieved and wanted to complain. “If I know my mistake, I will correct it. However, I don’t know how I offended him.”

Leonard had been with Adam for years and had never seen Adam behave that way. In the past, if Adam’s subordinate did something wrong, he would fire the subordinate. If a female subordinate wanted to be Adam’s wife, he would make her stay away from him.

Lumma performed well at work and didn’t have other thoughts. Adam’s attitude towards Lumma was strange.

Leonard thought for a while and patted Lumma on the shoulder sympathetically. “Think about it carefully. You might figure out what made him unhappy.”

Lumma was stunned.

She thought about it. Adam disliked her since the day she helped him apply drugs.

Lumma sent Adam home. Could it be that Adam’s wife had known that and didn’t want him to get close to his assistant? Therefore, Adam was hostile to Lumma.

Lumma thought the speculation was reasonable.

From then on, Lumma paid more attention to her words and deeds. She had no contact with Adam except for work.

In the afternoon, Lumma put the coffee on Adam’s desk as usual. “Mr. Hills, this afternoon…’

Adam interrupted her suddenly, “Arrange someone else to prepare coffee for me.”

Lumma confirmed her speculation. She agreed and dutifully reported Adam’s upcoming itinerary. “Mr. Hills, you are going to attend the western investment group meeting at 2:30. Tonight, you will attend the golden wedding banquet of Mr. and Mrs. Mills. I have prepared the gift list. Please check it.”

Adam didn’t look up. “Put it here.”

Lumma handed the list over. “It’s a golden wedding banquet. You need a partner. Will your wife? Or should I arrange a partner?”

While Lumma was speaking, Adam suddenly looked up at her. His eyes were as cold as ice. “Go out.”

Lumma was checked.

She didn’t expect Adam to get angry suddenly. It was because she mentioned his wife, who had betrayed him.

Lumma went out of Adam’s office and went to the bathroom to wash her face and calm down.

Inexpectedly, she ran into John in the bathroom.

He stood at the door of the bathroom as if waiting for Lumma. “Why? Doesn’t your honey trap work for Mr. Hills?”

“John, stop talking nonsense.” Lumma was afraid of Adam, who paid her. However, there was no way for others to bully her.
