“Okay, let’s not talk about it. Let’s talk about wetting the bed when you were a child…” Maria really didn’t treat Catherine as an outsider, she said all these things.
Lumma knew she couldn’t stop Maria. So Lumma didn’t stop her, as long as they were happy.
To Lumma’s surprise, neither Maria nor Catherine asked about Lucas,
After the pies were ready, Lamma cooked some first. Catherine tried it. She really thought it was good. “Lumma, it tastes so good. Can I give one to Mr. Roach next door?”
“Grandma, then I’ll cook some right away.” Lumma immediately cooked. Seeing that the heat was up, she took out the pies and put them in a lunch box, and thoughtfully prepared a plate. “Grandma, I’ll send it to Mr. Roach.”
“Mr. Roach is afraid of strangers. I’ll just send it to him.” Catherine smiled and went out with the box.
Maria had lived here for a while. She had never heard of a man surnamed Roach next door, but she didn’t ask much.
After lunch, Lumma sat in the courtyard and talked with Maria and Catherine in the sun. The picture was so beautiful that Lumma wanted to stay like this forever.
Maria and Catherine were getting older every day. It was one less time to accompany them quietly like this.
Because of this, Lumma decided to stay one more night before returning to Red Pine City and spend more time with Maria and Catherine when she had time now. Otherwise, she would not be able to accompany them even though she wanted to.
After dinner, Lumma stayed in the guest room on the second floor. She was used to staying in hotels because of frequent business trips. She didn’t have a problem with sleep. So she could sleep right away.
