Velez felt a chill on his back. “Mr. Hills, you are too humorous.”
Adam raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at him coldly. “Do you think I’m joking with you?”
Of course, Velez knew that Adam was not joking. He promised to take over the job and made full preparations. “Mr. Hills, why don’t you ask your wife’s opinion first?”
“You guys make preparations first.” Adam came to the first floor. At a glance, he saw Judy, who he called to accompany Lumma, was on the sofa, holding her mobile phone and smiling like a fool. “Judy, how old are you?”
Judy looked up, then looked down at the phone, “Adam, don’t you even know how old I am? You really don’t love me at all. Let me tell you, I will be twenty-three after Christmas.”
Adam said in a deep voice, “You also know that you are almost twenty-three. And you still play with your phone all day long.”
“I’m not a three-year-old kid anymore. You still stop me from playing with my phone.” Judy pouted. “Lumma, help me.”
How could Lumma, an assistant, intervene in the matter of them? She smiled and didn’t speak.
Adam said, “Put your phone away.”
Judy said, “I don’t.”
Adam turned to Lumma and said, “Make a call now and suspend all her cards.”
Judy was about to be twenty-three years old. She was already an adult, but her bank card would be suspended for playing with her mobile phone. Lumma thought that Adam was taking care of a child, which was really too much. But she still didn’t talk too much and respectfully responded, “Yes.”
Judy knew that Adam could do what he said. Although she was very reluctant, she immediately put away the phone. “Adam, I was wrong. Don’t suspend my cards, okay?”
