“It’s because you have money and don’t short a million dollars.” As he spoke, Nimon switched to the foreign language again. “Your wife is wonderful. And I like her beauty very much.”
“You like her?” Adam also said in the foreign language, with an unfriendly tone, “She won’t like the look of you. You get rid of your bad thoughts.”
“I admire your wife’s beauty. Why are you being so mean?” Nimon put his hand on Adam’s shoulder and patted it lightly. “When you were abroad before, so many girls pursued you, but you didn’t like anyone. I never thought you would get married quietly.”
Adam didn’t want to mention other women. “Don’t talk about other things with me. Let’s talk about the painting first.”
Nimon smiled. “You know that my paintings are only sold to those who like them. You have never liked my paintings, so I don’t intend to sell them to you…”
Adam interrupted Nimon. “Unless I pay double the price?”
Nimon nodded. “You know me.”
“Are you sure you want me to buy your paintings at double the price?” Adam pushed the glasses frame on his nose and said with a half-smile, “Before I was able to make your worthless paintings so popular, I can make your paintings uninteresting again.”
Before meeting Adam, Nimon was a wandering painter who lived in Preivlille to paint. He could occasionally sell a painting. Nimon couldn’t even feed himself.
It was Adam who made Nimon’s paintings popular all over the world and made Nimon a famous painter overnight. Adam not only solved Nimon’s problem of self-sufficiency, but Nimon also got a car and a house.
However, it all stemmed from a bet between Adam and Callum.
Nimon knew better than anyone else that Adam bestowed everything he owned now, and Adam could make everything Nimon owned come to nothing with a word.
Nimon’s face turned black with fright. “I’m just joking with you. Why are you so serious? I won’t charge you anymore. Later, I’ll have someone deliver the painting to your house.”
