“Mr. Hills, I agree with what you said.” But Lumma thought, “Even my husband doesn’t care so much. You are just his friend. What right do you have to be so picky?”
Adam didn’t say anything. They arrived at Fantasy Club in silence.
Fantasy Club was located at the foot of a mountain in the suburb of Coastal City. The decoration style was classic. It blended the building with nature. It was a place where Callum used to receive his friends and never opened for business.
When Lumma and Adam arrived, Callum had already there. “Adam, I have already brought you the two people. You can deal with them at will. Don’t worry about me. I have no friendship with the Wude family.”
Adam smiled. “So what if they have a friendship with you?”
“Oh, forget it.” Callum made a gesture of invitation and led them into a room. “Mr. Yuli Wude, I have invited the one you want to see.”
When he saw Adam, Eric was scared, like seeing a ghost. Eric’s face turned pale with fright. “You? Are you Mr. Hills?”
Yuli had previously fantasized about some misunderstanding, and the Hills Group might make a mistake and blame the wrong person. But seeing Eric’s expression, the hope in Yuli’s heart was instantly shattered.
Before Adam could speak, Yuli urged Eric, and both kneeled on the ground with a plop. “Mr. Hills, Eric is ignorant. He offended you before. I’m here to apologize to you on his behalf.”
Eric was so frightened that his whole body trembled. He didn’t show any sign of the previous arrogant and domineering appearance. “Mr. Hills, I don’t know it was you. It’s all my fault. Please forgive me! Please!”
Adam crouched slowly in front of Eric and said in a low voice that only the two could hear, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t know me. It would be best if you never tried to trick my wife. I won’t even hit her a finger! But you bully her like. that. Do you think I can forgive you? Do you know what consequences you have to bear for bullying her?”
