Adam said, “There are a lot of things for me to handle here. I plan to stay for some extra days. If you can’t stand the weather here, I’ll ask Steve to take you back first.”
Lumma replied, “That’s alright. I’m fine with this.
He called her name again in a deep voice, “Lumma,
Lumma answered, “Yes?”
Adam said with a serious expression, “Don’t do this in the future if something alike happens again.”
Lumma made no response.
Actually, she didn’t want to do so. She just went with her first instinctive at that time.
Working for him for days, she was used to giving priority to him.
After a moment of silence, Adam spoke again, “Does your husband know that you was injured?”
Lumma shook her head, “I didn’t tell him.”
Adam didn’t understand, “Why?”
Lumma tried to explain, “I don’t want him to worry about me.”
Adam understood but felt somewhat uncomfortable,
He thought if his wife hadn’t betrayed him, being a husband, he would be sad at heart when his wife hurt and kept it from him.
Adam glanced at Laura and found she was still working. So he had to continue to distract Lumma so that she would not feel so much pain, “I’m a bit hungry. Let’s have some supper together later.”
Lumma hadn’t eaten well at night, and her stomach growled twice when she heard him say that.
She agreed, “Okay.”
Adam immediately made a call and asked the chef to prepare supper.
