Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 98
After watching Steve drive away with Lumma, Adam got into the car driven by José and
went straight to the Hills Mansion.
Catherine stayed here after returning from Harrison last time because she was worried
about Maria’s condition.
When Catherine saw Adam, she felt mad. “What are you doing here? Do you want to see
if I get mad at you?”
Adam pushed the glasses frame on the bridge of his nose. “Grandma, why are you mad
at me?”
“Lucas, how dare you to even ask that?” Catherine was so angry that she called him the name used at home. Whenever she called this name, it showed that she was really mad.
The situation was very bad, and she wouldn’t feel better soon.
Adam supported her. “I’m here to make you happy, so listen to me first.”
Catherine didn’t listen at all and kept complaining, “How did you promise me back
then? Look at what you have done. I just found out today that the four great families are all talking about your wife cheating. You spread the news yourself. You did not only ruin. Lumma but also pissed me off.”
This matter was spread by Diandra. He was the son of that woman, so Adam must have something to do with it. However, Adam didn’t intend to explain. “Grandma, I will take care of this matter. No one will dare to say anything bad about Lumma in the future.”
“Stop talking about the future. Does it mean that it is ok this time?” After hearing about it from the butler today, Catherine was so angry that she didn’t even take lunch. “You are a man. Don’t you know how important reputation is to a woman now? If you want to get a divorce, just do it. Why did you do such a thing? How will Lumma marry in the
future?”
Hearing that Lumma might marry someone else, Adam’s voice suddenly turned deep. “She is my wife. Who else do you want her to marry?”
“After divorce, now you know she is your wife? Don’t you think it’s too late?” Catherine patted her chest and said in disgust, “Go away and don’t bother me recently. My heart hurts when I see you. Seeing you might give me a heart attack.”
