Chapter 392
Theresa was good to the children, but Leticia didn’t want them to move out with her. She thought Theresa was not their real mother and didn’t care about them in private. Besides, Pat didn’t live with her. If Charlie moved out, she would be bored at home.
Pat said to Charlie, “I’ll have Rose move back home. She won’t bother you anymore.” He knew Charlie wanted to move out because he hated Jimmy but couldn’t force Rose to break up with him.
Pat couldn’t force Theresa to break up with Charlie either. In a way, the two brothers were a lot alike.
Charlie glanced at Pat. “Don’t take it personally.”
Pat said, “Save it! Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking.” He knew Charlie was defending Theresa.
Theresa felt Pat glare at her. She was speechless.
Since Charlie was about to stand up, Leticia was very kind to Theresa tonight. After all, there was nothing
more pleasing than for Charlie to be able to stand up. “Tess, try this.” She put some food on Theresa’s plate.
“Thanks, mom.” Theresa continued to eat.
Cristina took a nap and a shower in the afternoon. She was about to order a take-out when her phone rang. She picked it up and saw it was Eugene calling. After hesitating for a moment, she answered it. She was excited, but she couldn’t resist saying aggressively, “Why are you calling me, Mr. Oneill?”
