Chapter 689
Charlie sat there watching them, eyes heavy with sarcasm.
He had long known that Theresa and Dick White are on good, or even close terms. But he still couldn’t bear the sight of them being intimate with each other.
After a moment of indecision, he made a stand from his seat and left the room. Nobody would notice the unreadable look in his eyes.
Hearing that Charlie drove off huffing and puffing. Theresa stood up in some hurry as well.
“Thank you, Mr. White.”
“Nothing to speak of.” Dick looked at her with steady eyes.
It really is. Dick was in good mood now. Packing Charlie off was indeed something he was glad to see.
“Mr. White, I have to apologize to you for what Charlie has said. That’s just hilarious nonsense about him. So, just forget it.”
“What did he say?” Dick White was curious about what Charlie had said. “Did he say that you are going out with me?”
Theresa gave a helpless sigh and continued. “Yeah, he thought that we are dating since he has seen you many times here with me.”
To be honest, Theresa was unable to comprehend Charlie’s thoughts.
Because she was of the opinion that Dick White would never like a woman like her.
“You must really want to get rid of him then, right? And you may feel sick of his pestering. I mean no offense, just judging by your attitude. If so, I’ve got a solid plan to help you out with that. How about being my girl?” Rawlins Garson stared at Dick in disbelief, unable to believe his ears.
Does he know what he is talking about?
His words also left Theresa dumbfounded for a second, but she came to her sense quickly. “Mr. White, it’s not a good joke, no kidding please.”
“I’m not joking at all. I think it will be good for both of us since you think he is annoying and I would like to do anything irritating him. Don’t you see that? I have to admit that seeing him stomping off really pleased me!”
Charlie’s sour face floated into Theresa’s head instantly and she felt an impulse to laugh. Didn’t he claim that he was here to gross Dick White out?
Then it turned out that he left simmering with anger.
Theresa couldn’t help taking pity on him when she held back roars of laughter.
He was just asking for more ropes to hang himself!
