Charlie sat up, looked at Theresa, and said, “Don’t worry! Eugene will handle it well.”

“I don’t trust him now,” remarked Theresa. “I used to think he was reliable, but last time when I met his mother, I found him really good to her.”

Charlie comforted, “Don’t worry. Eugene is not a mama’s boy.”

“I hope so,” said Theresa. She glanced at Charlie and asked, “When will you leave?”

Now that Charlie had had dinner with Ben, he had achieved his goal.

Charlie took a look at his watch and said, “I’m leaving now.”

As he was speaking, Jonathan came.

Jonathan was here to pick up Charlie and stood at the door without getting into the living room when he saw Charlie sitting next to Theresa.

Theresa said, “Go ahead.”

She didn’t feel well today and wanted to have a rest. She didn’t intend to go out anymore.

Charlie looked at Theresa and said, “Ben is having a class now. I’ll come to accompany him after I’m done with my work.”

Theresa nodded. “Okay. He should feel better now. Don’t worry too much. I’ll tell him you’re busy. It’s fine if you don’t come.”
