Chapter 781 Why Can’t You Just Stay Together?
If Jonathan argued, he would embarrass Charlie.
Charlie was a person who cared about his dignity after all.
Jonathan had no choice but to take the blame silently. He nodded and said, “Sorry, it was my fault. I didn’t handle it well.”
Charlie said coldly, “Keep an eye on me from now on, and don’t let me do anything shameful to her again.”
Jonathan nodded. “Yes!”
However, Charlie was so clingy when he was drunk. Who could stop him? Who would have the heart to stop him?
“Dad.” Just after Charlie berated Jonathan and made him feel bad, Ben opened the door and walked out.
The boy was still wearing his pajamas without putting on his shoes. He stood on the carpet barefoot and looked at Charlie. “Dad.”
Charlie looked at Ben and said, “Good morning.”
Ben held Charlie’s leg and responded, “Good morning, Dad! You were drunk last night. I went to call you, but you just ignored me. Are you feeling better now?”
Charlie nodded. “Yes, much better.”
Ben asked, “Dad, why do you drink? It’s said that one only drinks when he or she is unhappy. Are you unhappy?”
Charlie was stunned. He felt a little embarrassed when a four-year-old boy asked him such a question. He was unhappy?
Why was he unhappy?
Charlie explained to Ben, “No, I just got drunk when I went out to have dinner with my friends last night.”
Then Charlie picked up Ben and walked into Ben’s room.
Jonathan followed them in.
Charlie ordered, “Bring his clothes over.”
Upon that, Jonathan went to get Ben’s clothes.
Thinking that Jonathan was not familiar with the environment here, Ben said, “My clothes are on the left.”
Jonathan fetched the clothes, and Charlie helped the little guy put them on.
The little boy usually wore a sweater at home, but when he went out, he always wore a down jacket.
Charlie dressed the boy in thick clothes and took him out of the bedroom.
Theresa wanted to sleep for a little longer, but she couldn’t fall asleep at all because she was pissed off by Charlie.
