Chapter 806 The Recording
It was known to all except Rose that Jimmy was a scumbag. Every time she stood on Jimmy’s side,
Charlie was at a loss about what to do. If he taught Jimmy a lesson, he would hurt Rose and make her feel he didn’t take her feelings into account. But he couldn’t indulge Jimmy simply because he was trusted by her.
Leticia said, “Uh-huh. By the way, if it is inconvenient for you to tell me about Theresa, how about I talk with her?”
Charlie raised his head and looked at Theresa, saying, “No, you don’t have to worry about her. It’s her own business, and it’s up to her to decide whether the two children will go with her.”
At the side, although Theresa couldn’t hear Leticia’s words on the other end of the phone clearly, she inferred from Charlie’s responses what Leticia had talked to him.
Charlie hung up the phone, and Theresa looked at him, asking, “Was it Leticia calling?” Charlie answered, “Yes. She said that Rose had known about your affair with Jimmy and returned home today.”
Theresa raised her eyebrow and said, “I see.”
“You seem not to be surprised.” Charlie stared at Theresa hard.
Theresa said, “Jimmy is a downright scoundrel, and he cannot hide his evil deeds for good. Rose will find out his true nature sooner or later!”
“Why are you so certain about it?” Charlie looked at Theresa suspiciously.
She was upset by his doubtful gaze and asked, “Why do you look at me like this? Are you suspecting me?”
“Rose firmly believed that Jimmy was innocent despite the persuasion of her family members. How could she find out the truth all of a sudden?”
