Marry Me Twice (Kennedy and Charlotte) novel Chapter 591

She met Manfred again.

She did not expect that. Looking at his gentle and smiling face far away, Alice felt it had been ages.

Alice pinched her red lips and strode over.

Whether it was five years ago or now, Manfred was still gentle.

As she approached, he went round the table and pulled out a chair for her. “Sit down,” he said softly.

“Thank you.”

After thanking him, Alice sat down.

The waiter came over and asked what they wanted to drink before leaving with the order.

Manfred fixed his eyes on her face gently and said in a low voice.

“I thought you didn't want to see me anymore.”

Alice was stunned. He looked elegant, but compared that he had done, Alice could not help but give a sarcastic smile, saying, “I don't want to see you, but have you made me to contact you actively, Mr. Manfred?”

Hearing that, Manfred stopped smiling and looked at her helplessly.

“Why? Why do you have hostility toward me? What did I do wrong?”

“Hostility?”

Alice smiled, “Why do you think I have hostility to you?”

“If not, why do you refuse to recognize me as your old friend? Why do you call me Mr. Manfred?”

Alice looked at him without speaking.

But there was clearly no smile on either man's face.

Manfred looked at her for a long time, but finally he sighed, “Charlotte, don't do that. I told you I meant no harm.”

“Then what do you mean?” Alice's eyes fixed on him, “If you mean no harm, shouldn't you do nothing? Manager Walsh and that contract are your plan, right?”

At this, Manfred sighed again.

“It seems that in your eyes I am a real bad man.”

Alice was stunned and then said in a cold voice, “I have devoiced Kennedy, so you are not my brother anymore.”

“You're finally willing to admit that I'm not your brother.” Manfred smiled. “Five years ago I didn't want you to call me brother, but you refused. And you are not willing to call me brother, why do I feel even sadder?”

Alice, “...”

“To tell you the truth, I know nothing about the contract that Tim Walsh sighed with you. I didn't know that I was working with you until he reported it.”

Manfred said sincerely. From his face and eyes, it didn't look like he was lying, but Alice didn't want to believe him.

She did not believe that it was so coincidental.

If he didn't find out until Tim Walsh reported it, then what is going on about Tim Walsh’s attitude toward her?

Of course she did not say these words, but Manfred smiled and said softly, “Well, now that we have met, we will not mention these unhappy things. I am very glad that you would like to see me today.”

Alice pursed her red lips and did not answer his words.

“Since you don't want to call me brother, you can call me by my name, not by Mr. Manfred.”

Call him by his name? Alice frowned, “I don’t think so, Mr. Manfred. Actually, I came here today for one reason only.”
