“You're going home now? I'll send you back.” Manfred paid the bill, followed her out of the cafe, and took out the car keys.
Alice shook her head, “No, I have things to do. I am not going home.”
“What is it? Can I give you a ride? I have nothing to do this weekend anyway.”
Alice frowned, “No need.”
Manfred looked at her and smiled. “Have you not yet forgiven me for rejecting me so?”
Alice said with embarrassment, “Mr. Manfred, it is not like that. I still have things to deal with, you don’t need to give me a ride.”
“Mr. Manfred?” Manfred was discouraged, “it seems that you are really only regard me as a cooperative relationship.”
Alice, “...”
“It doesn't matter, anyway, we will meet a lot, I hope you can accept me gradually. If you don't want me to give you a ride today, I won't force you.”
With that, Manfred patted her on the shoulder and said with a smile, “Be careful on the road. You can call me if you need anything.”
After two people said goodbye, Alice called the taxi to the supermarket near her community. Before she walked into the supermarket, she took a look at her phone. Seeing that Kennedy did not send her a message, she was relieved.
He must have been exhausted recently. He must be sleeping at this moment.
She bought some ingredients. Thinking of what Kennedy did for her, she got some ingredients for Kennedy.
Alice could not help but smiling.
He'd been so tired lately.
After paying the bill, Alice walked out of the supermarket carrying bags and then walked back to the community. She got into the elevator and then pulled out her phone to text Kennedy.
{Have you woken up yet?}
Because it was in the elevator, there was no signal, and the message would be automatically sent out after she got out of the elevator, so Alice sent the message and stuffed the phone back into her pocket.
Then she looked up at the key and saw that she was almost there. She took a deep breath and waited for the elevator door to open, and then walked out with her bag.
As she had just stepped out of the elevator, she received a message.
As she was to see if Kennedy texted her, she saw a a slender figure through the corner of her eyes.
Alice paused and looked at the man.
The man leaned against the wall holding his phone in one hand. He happened to read the message she had sent him with a gloomy face.
Alice looked at him for three seconds, and then opened her mouth.
“You are up.”
Kennedy did not answer, with his thin lips tightly pressed, and his eyes cold.
“Come for lunch. I've got some ingredients downstairs.” Alice input the password with guilty and then opened the door.
Turning round, she found Kennedy still standing, motionless, and said, “Come in.”
It must have been three seconds before Kennedy came forward, but his face was still cold and his dark breath came over her.
Seeing that he got in, Alice wrinkled eyebrow and closed the door, thinking there was something wrong.
Kennedy looked angry, was it because she went out before she told him? Thinking of that, she turned to take a look at Kennedy's back.
