Chapter 109: Live Streaming
Henry, in jeans and a black jacket, turned at the sound of their voices, startled to see them. “How did you know I was here?”
“Don’t worry about that, just come down!” Jay urged..
Henry narrowed his eyes and glanced at Sophia.
He paused. “We can talk, but only with Sophia.”
Jay nodded eagerly. “Talk to her, just talk!”
‘Go down first.”
“Huh? Me?”
“Down!”
Jay dared not disobey. He gently pushed Sophia forward, whispering, “Agree to whatever he says. Just get him down first.”
Sophia nodded.“I understand.”
After Jay went down, Sophia breathed a sigh of relief. You wanted to talk to me, so come down.” Henry crossed his arms. “If I come down, will you still listen to me?”
“Yes, I’ll listen to everything you say,” Sophia replied.
“Then promise you won’t mention divorce, can you do that?”
Sophia pursed her lips, then nodded. “I promise.”
“Just like that?”
“Yes, I promise.”
“You’re lying, right?”
“No!”
Sophia’s heart pounded. “I promise I won’t mention divorce again unless you bring it up first. “Why would I mention divorce? I’ve been miserable.”
“Okay, then. Come down, okay?”
Henry smirked, looking smug. He was about to jump when he caught sight of something and leaned forward.
His sudden movement made Sophia scream.
“Henry, you idiot!
If you jump, I’ll
I’ll hate
you
forever! No,
for eternity!”
Henry was startled, then laughed, gesturing for her to come closer.
Sophia was stunned by his laughter.
“Come here, I’ll show you a live stream.”
Henry waved again, and Sophia cautiously approached. She slowly got closer, and when she was a step away, she threw herself at him, grabbing his leg.

He lunged forward, and only managed to grab a nearby railing before falling.
Both Sophia and Henry turned pale with fright.
“Were you hoping to become a widow?”
Sophia rolled her eyes. Seeing him joke, she said angrily, “Get down!”
“Hold on, let me take some pictures first.”
He pulled out his phone, aimed it at the opposite building, and snapped several pictures. He checked them, satisfied that the faces were clear.
“What are you taking pictures of?” Sophia asked.
Henry sat down and patted the space beside him, motioning for Sophia to sit. Sophia glanced down; she was scared but still sat beside him.
Henry put his arm around her and pointed to
to a window in the opposite building.
“Look, how eager they are. They didn’t even close the curtains.”
Sophia looked closely, unable to see clearly, leaning forward. It appeared to be a man and a woman, both undressed, engaging in passionate intimacy.
Her eyes
widened. She wanted to see more clearly, but Henry covered her eyes. “Why are you covering my eyes?” She slapped his hand away.
“You’re not allowed to look at another man’s body.”
“But you were looking at that woman.”
stopped looking when she started taking her clothes off.”
Sophia coughed, pulling his hand away. But then she realized something was amiss. She turned and glared at Henry.
“So, you’ve been coming to this rooftop not
to jump, but to peep on couples?
Before Henry could explain, Sophia, enraged, punched him.
Henry hissed. “They’re not a couple.”
“How do you know?”
“That man is Chu Ziyu’s husband. You know Chu Ziyu, the guesthouse owner. Sophia blinked. Of course, she knew Chu Ziyu.
“He’s her husband?”
Curiosity getting the better of her, Sophia tried to look again, but Henry turned her away.
“No peeking.”
Sophia slapped his hand.“Even if he’s her husband, what’s it to you?”
He came here every day, making people think he was going to jump. Henry was silent for a moment.“She was Zoey Smith’s roommate.”
Sophia pursed her lips. It was the first time he’d mentioned Zoey Smith on his own initiative. I didn’t go abroad for my father; I left out of spite. I took Zoey Smith with me because I was
