At night, Emma put the two children to sleep, then she gently closed the door and went back to her room to rest.

Over the past seven years, it's all thanks to James that she's able to complete her degree and raise her kids. Without James's help, she would not be able to take care of the kids and her studies at the same time.

Nathan was sensible, but Natalie was a wild child. The two of them made a lot of trouble together.

In the kids’ bedroom, Natalie hops off of her bed and runs over to Nathan's bed.

Nathan was already asleep when he felt his sister come into his blanket. He said with his eyes closed, "Natalie, you're already 7 years old. You can't sleep with me anymore."

But even as he said this, he moved over to give his sister space.

Natalie Lang popped her head out of the quilt and blinked at her brother. "Nathan, I heard mommy calling Uncle James today. It seemed like she mentioned our father."

"So?"

"Father is here in Rock city! Mommy even said that she saw him at the hospital."

"And?"

"Mommy has never had a boyfriend. She must've been waiting for daddy. If Daddy knows the two of us, will they get back together?"

Nathan frowned. "Natalie, we shouldn't be concerned about the grownups' affairs."

Natalie didn't listen to her brother's words and said, "I think daddy must be particularly handsome. I want to know what kind of person he is. I want to go find him."

Nathan frowned even more when he saw his sister's excited expression.

He had a bad feeling that his sister was going to make trouble again.

Emma was stopped by Rose and her eyes instantly turned red.

"It's been so long since you've left. It's been 7 years. You have a stubborn temper. Why didn't you come back sooner…"

"Rose, it's okay. I'm back now, that's all that matters."

Rose wipes away a tear, "of course Miss, come on follow me in."

She followed Rose and walked into the courtyard. The flowers and trees looked the same 7 years ago. All were neatly trimmed. The swing in the yard was still there, but it looked a little old, as if no one had used it for a long time.

Before she could enter, a woman appeared at the door.

"Nice of you to finally come back, Emma. I thought you were dead."

Emma turned her head and looked at the woman with similar features as her but younger, "Rachel?"
