Julian actually snatched her phone and started talking to Matthew, “Yeah, Matthew, it’s me. Valerie is indeed at this hospital. You should hurry over. We’re waiting for you.” 

Valerie was utterly frantic. “No… Julian…” 

But Julian had already hung up the phone.

Valerie suddenly felt a shock run through her body. 

She had to admit that Julian was right. Her actions were essentially no different from Ashley’s.

‘Matthew, is he her happiness? Cane really have that?‘ he wondered.
