Chapter 16 She Was Done With Him! 

Charley was so furious at Sofia’s words that she almost passed out. 

That awful woman was clearly trying to stir up trouble between her and her brother. 

“I’d do anything for my brother gladly,” Charley shot back immediately, “but who are you to boss me around!” 

Sofia just sneered, dismissing it as childish tantrums. 

She looked down at Nathaniel and said, “You need to rest, I’ll come back later to give you a 

massage.” 

With that, Sofia got ready to leave. 

She was tired today, rushing straight over to Nathaniel’s place. She needed to go back and rest for a bit. 

Plus, she hadn’t finished preparing the medicine she needed to give Nathaniel tonight. If she took any longer, she’d be late tonight. 

Now, Sofia could only use the nighttime to help Nathaniel heal. 

Since she hadn’t found the person targeting Nathaniel, she couldn’t fully restore the equipment. 

If that person found out, they might get suspicious and do something extreme, putting Nathaniel in danger. 

So, Sofia had to make the most of every night and work as fast as possible. 

She didn’t have the time or energy to deal with Charley right now. 

But Charley, spoiled by the Hart family, blocked Sofia again when she tried to leave. 

Before Charley could say anything this time, she heard Nathaniel’s calm voice saying, “Charley, don’t be rude to my wife.” 

That sentence left Sofia shocked.

Feeling utterly wronged, Charley yelled at Nathaniel, “I won’t admit she’s my sister–in–law!” 

After yelling, Charley stormed out of Nathaniel’s room without looking back. 

At this moment, only Older Mr. Hart was ecstatic inside. 

He knew he hadn’t made a mistake in choosing Sofia as wife for Nathaniel. Look, in just a few days, his grandson was already starting to protect her. 

Give it a little more time, and Older Mr. Hart was sure his wish for a great–grandchild would come true. 

He had to quickly pick a few names, both for boys and girls, with the last name Hart or Schneider. 

He wanted Sofia to know he was an extremely open–minded person and didn’t believe children had to take their father’s surname.

He was going to be the best great–grandpa in the world. 

Myra had been waiting outside all this time. She was confident Charley would come out to get her. 

But the longer she waited, the more uneasy she felt. 

Charley never lied to her, so what could be taking so long this time? 

Why hadn’t Charley come to get her yet? 

Gregory had long left, paying no attention to her.
