Chapter 1227 Sylvia‘s worry lingered, so she stayed by Madam Carter‘s bed and listened to the old lady reminisce about the past. Her memories about Odell‘s childhood remained vivid as though it happened yesterday. She went on until she got tired and fell asleep.
Sylvia finally got up and walked out of the room.
It was then that the man entered the living room in his handsome suit.
He looked rather nervous when he saw Sylvia come out of Madam Carter‘s room. He went up to her and asked,“ How‘s Grandmother?”
Sylvia smiled. “She‘s fine. She‘s asleep.”
His nervous expression was laid to rest.
Sylvia looked at him with crystal clear eyes.
He soon noticed her unusual gaze. He patted her and asked, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Grandmother talked a lot about your childhood.” Odell squinted. “What did she say?” Sylvia took a step forward, shortening the distance between her and Odell. She was a finger away from going into his embrace. She whispered, “She said when you
were five, you were on the bed and you—”
Before she could finish the sentence, he hugged her into his chest tightly.
“Grandmother said it, not me!” she anxiously explained.
Odell lowered his head and moved his handsome face closer to her. His lips curled. “What else did she say about
me?”
His whisper sounded dangerous.
Sylvia‘s gaze shrunk. “T–that‘s it. Nothing else!” “Really?”
“Really!”
