Chapter 1228 The last message was from two days ago, and it was she who had texted, asking Sherry how she was doing at the Stocktons.

It had been more than two days , yet she had not heard from Sherry.

It was not Sherry‘s style to be quiet. Even if she was busy, she never missed a text and would not fail to text back for more than twelve hours.

Sylvia frowned.

“What‘s wrong?” Odell asked.

“I think something‘s happened to Sherry.” Sylvia tapped on Sherry‘s number and called her.

The monotone message sounded. “The number you have dialed is not available. Please try again later...”

Sylvia looked at Odell. “Did you receive any updates from your men at the Stocktons in the past two days?”

“No. I‘ll go ask them later.”

“Ask them now. Hurry.” Sylvia nudged his chest.

Odell tightened his lips. “Fine.”

Back at the Stocktons‘ residence in Glenchester , Sherry recovered after sleeping for a full day and having multiple meals. Her phone had been confiscated, and there was no TV in the room and no books to kill time, so all she could do was stare outside the window blankly.

She stared out blankly until the sky turned dark, and a tall figure entered.

The maids in the quarters immediately stepped aside upon seeing the man. They lowered their heads respectfully and kept quiet.

As though the man sensed Sherry‘s gaze, he looked up at the window and saw her through the glass.

Sherry might have either been exhausted or simply not in the mood. She sat still like a rock and stared at him expressionlessly.
