Julie sat elegantly on the couch, enjoying her fruit tea and pastries.

When she heard Mia’s update, her expression turned frosty.

John already went out with the mother and daughter for the whole day, yet he came back and prepared the grill for the woman?

Julie grunted but quickly recovered her composure. She thought of the collaboration between the Stocktons and the Sagers and the fact that John and Sherry did not have sex at night.

She added, “Did you find the seam on the wall leading to John’s backyard?”

Mia had gone there earlier looking for the entry point and found it. “Yes. It’s just like you said. The seam is right behind the garden and was blocked by a tree. No one usually passes by there. When it’s dark, I’ll go see if they are doing it.”

Julie nodded. “Don’t go too early. Go after 10.” She did not want John to notice Mia’s presence.

The sky was already dark when Sherry was satiated with food.

Caprice woke up and got out of bed. She slowly walked out to the living room with her messy hair.

When she came down, the smell of grilled meat woke her up, and her eyes widened at the meal in front of her parents.

“Caprice?” Sherry went over to the girl and picked her up.

Caprice’s googly eyes switched from the table full of food to her mother. She stared at her for a few seconds before chuckling happily.
