Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) novel Chapter 1067

Ronald's face lit up with satisfaction. He always knew he had King figured out.

Just imagine—once their organization took control of oil, diamonds, and healthcare, the world would be theirs to command. Decades of plotting had all led to this: reshaping the global order by seizing these vital resources.

After Ronald left, King relaxed into the sofa's cushions.

Brielle was about to descend the staircase when the doorbell rang, freezing her in place.

The butler answered the door, and in walked Kailee.

Kailee, booted out the night before, was feeling down but decided to roll the dice again. To her surprise, King was actually home.

In the past, she'd be lucky to see him once or twice out of ten visits, but lately, her luck seemed to be changing.

On her way over, she brushed past an older man—Ronald.

Ronald raised an eyebrow as he glanced back at Kailee.

So, this was the woman always hanging around King?

If King was now showing interest in women, maybe they could use that to their advantage.

Though King claimed he wanted Brielle to fall for him, that didn’t mean he couldn’t entertain other women.

Ronald felt a plan forming and decided to set the honey trap in motion immediately.

Kailee had made her way into the living room, her eyes lighting up when she saw King.

“King!” She strode over, still regretting last night but couldn't help herself from rushing to hug him, carefully watching his reaction.

Unlike before, King didn’t resist, filling Kailee with joy.

“How about we go shopping today? Let’s take Isaac with us. I’ve been getting along so well with him lately. Didn’t you say you’d marry whoever could get him to talk more?”

Kailee buzzed with excitement, eager to fetch Isaac and show King how much their relationship had improved.

King remained silent, letting Kailee get carried away.

“My family is quite curious about you too. If we were to marry, they’d approve.”

The mention of marriage sparked an idea in King’s mind.

After all, with King controlling oil and having made an appearance at a recent gala, everyone wanted to curry favor with him but hadn’t found the right opportunity.

Marrying King would elevate her status within the Sanchez family, potentially upsetting others who might then seek to block her path.

“It won’t be a problem,” King replied, standing. His tone was even more detached. “Choose a time.”

With that, he headed upstairs.

Kailee, a smile flickering across her face, hurried off to prepare with the Sanchez family.

Upon reaching the top of the stairs, King found Brielle standing still, likely having overheard their conversation.

Her favorite, Max, was about to be entangled with another woman. Even if they returned to Beaconsfield, a marriage between them would now be considered bigamy.

He moved to pass Brielle, but she grabbed his wrist.

“What do you really want?”

If this was merely revenge against Max, who was now dormant, with them sharing the same body, erasing Max completely was impossible without both of them perishing.
