The hell on earth showed no signs of letting up.
After the indiscriminate bombings by several powerful nations, they initially hoped to gather evidence. But the chaos was overwhelming, and a sudden mudslide spiraled out of control, barreling downhill in a frenzy.
Everyone was running for their lives.
From the helicopter above, all you could see was churning mud and water, with the occasional tree breaking the surface.
The base was obliterated, with only the lucky survivors knowing what it used to be.
Even the mighty military forces of these nations were helpless against nature's fury.
The compound was reduced to rubble, then completely pulverized by natural forces, erasing any trace of its original state.
The base's downfall wasn't Dustin and King's doing; their conflict just sped up its destruction. Somebody had wanted it gone, badly. If not that night, then some night soon.
Irene was resolute; even in destruction, she intended to leave a message for the monarchy. The explosion at the base, with the bomb planted right at the North American border, meant the North American monarchy had to explain themselves.
So, by dawn, the international media turned to the North American royal family, hoping the current heir, Arthur, would shed some light on what happened on that mountain.
Arthur had only just been released by Dustin, initially planning to use Dustin's power to quietly eliminate the base, then whitewash its history and take over smoothly.
