When Max suddenly showed up, Brielle was caught off guard, her cheeks turning a vivid red.
King was going out of his mind with jealousy. “Why don’t you blush when you’re with me? The moment Max is back, your cheeks are as red as a monkey’s butt! What gives? Is Max’s charm really that much greater?”
King was practically drowning in his own envy.
Brielle couldn’t hear King’s thoughts, only feeling her cheeks grow even hotter.
“Max, you want a bite?” Brielle asked, half expecting him to decline, but Max simply nodded.
Isaac was playing with a bubble machine a few feet away, and some of the bubbles had landed on what Max was holding, clearly making it inedible.
Calling Isaac over, Brielle took the item from Max’s hand and tossed it into the trash can. “Max shouldn’t be holding this. It’s beneath him.”
Witnessing this, King’s jealousy soured even further. “Talk about double standards. Is Max some kind of royalty?”
Brielle dragged Max over to a vending machine, where the attendant asked, “Sir, which shape would you like?”
After thinking for a few seconds, Max pointed at Brielle and asked, “Can you do this one?”
The attendant, taken aback for a moment and visibly flustered by the flirtatious request, soon pulled out a female character mold, its cheeks blushing as she handed it to Max. “Here you go, sir.”
It didn’t look much like Brielle, just a cute female character with a similar hairstyle.
Max accepted it with a polite “thank you,” and paid by scanning a code.
Brielle was too embarrassed to look at him directly, catching only a glimpse of him leisurely biting into the character’s cheek before she quickly averted her gaze, feeling like she was about to combust from the heat.
“Max, how are you feeling? Is your body okay?” she asked, trying to change the subject.
