She had never experienced anything like this before, and thinking about how it was all to honor the person who had kickstarted her career made her want to make it extra special. Not knowing much about the fancy dining spots in Beaconsfield, she did a quick online search and booked a place that had great reviews.
"When might the boss be free? I've already set up the dinner reservation," she said.
Dustin, of course, wasn't planning on showing up in person. "I'm here on business. I'll reach out to you once I'm done," he replied.
Emma nodded, figuring his hectic schedule might not allow for a get-together. After tucking his phone away, Dustin got a call from Brielle.
"Hey, what's up with your social media posts?" Brielle asked. After months in Beaconsfield, it seemed odd for him to post something like that.
"Just having a bit of fun," Dustin replied.
"You’re not actually fishing for something, are you?" she teased.
Brielle and Max were on their honeymoon. She initially wanted to bring Isaac, but he couldn’t bear to leave his little fur babies back at Premier Palace, so it was just the two of them on this trip.
Dustin chuckled, "Yeah, fishing. Let's see if I catch anything. Are you and Max enjoying the honeymoon?"
"Yeah, I'm about to go diving," Brielle said before hanging up, ready to dive in despite it being winter in Beaconsfield. The weather was perfect for a bikini.
Motherhood hadn't touched her figure; her stomach was still flat and smooth. Her white swimsuit made her skin glow, catching eyes all around, something Max noticed with a slight frown.
But Brielle, not picking up on it, just reminded him, "Make sure you get photos of me with the fish. I want everything captured."
Seeing the attention she was getting, Max wished they’d gone skiing instead, where she’d be all bundled up, rather than showing off at the beach. Brielle’s beauty was striking, with her fair skin and curves in all the right places.
Not wanting to spoil her fun, Max joined her in the dive. Like a mermaid, her hair flowed through the water, and her joy was evident when she swam with the fish, playfully making a peace sign. Max smiled, unable to resist snapping lots of photos.
"Brielle, the doctor said you're ready for another child," Max murmured, gently tracing her leg. "Have you thought about it?"
He wasn't pushing for another child but genuinely wanted her opinion. Brielle did want to have another child with Max, given their love and financial stability. Her only worry was Isaac’s feelings, having grown up without them and just now accepting Max.
"Max, let’s talk it over with Isaac when we get back," she suggested.
Max chuckled softly, kissing her leg in agreement. "Okay," he said.
What followed was natural and intimate. Brielle felt a bit silly, sensing Max's jealousy over her attire. By morning, she was too exhausted for any seafood fishing, feeling utterly drained.
After a bath, Max gently took care of her, then they returned to bed. Brielle’s dark hair spread across the white pillow, her beauty captivating Max, who sat by the bed, fighting the urge to kiss her but respecting her need to rest. He stepped out to the balcony with a cigarette, his desire to have her to himself growing stronger, wishing she'd dress just for him.
