Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) novel Chapter 1561

Aubree felt the electrifying energy of the young man beside her, his breath hot and heavy on her shoulder, still trembling a bit from the emotion of the moment, “You really are something else.” She felt a mix of being slightly miffed and completely satisfied.

After a quick freshen-up, Matthew darted off to take a shower and change into clean clothes. He drove Aubree to the set himself, and during the drive, he kept her close, stealing kisses for a solid ten minutes before finally letting her go.

“I’ll whip up dinner and wait for you tonight,” he promised.

Aubree nodded, noticing how his youthful enthusiasm seemed to rub off on her, making her feel more alive and energetic.

“Aubree, love you,” he said softly.

“Mhm.”

“Make sure you come back early, okay?”

“Mhm, mhm.”

“Is ‘mhm’ all you can say?” he teased.

Aubree chuckled, glancing at the time, “I’m just worried about being late.”

Matthew released her, his eyes lingering with tender affection.

Aubree felt her heart melt. Before she’d agreed to be with him, Matthew had been holding back, but once he let his feelings show, it was like a volcano erupting—intense and selfless. She felt like she was wrapped in a warm, comforting embrace.

Arriving at the set right on time, the crew quickly got her ready for filming. She glanced in the mirror, relieved that Matthew hadn’t left any marks on her neck.

The day’s scene was a heavy one, and surprisingly, Casey called “cut!” three times. It was the first time Aubree needed multiple takes because of her performance.

Casey reminded her, “This scene’s supposed to be somber. Try to tone down the sparkle in your eyes.”

The set erupted in laughter.

Feeling embarrassed, Aubree stood up to apologize, “Mr. Casey, I’m sorry.”

Casey chuckled, then asked, “Falling in love, are we?”
