Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) novel Chapter 849

"Thanks," she murmured as she slid into the passenger seat.

The driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror for a brief moment before asking, “Where to, Ms. Brielle?”

After Brielle gave the hotel’s location, the man hesitated, then suggested something unexpected. “Mr. Lynch owns a villa nearby. It's always kept ready by a caretaker. If you don't mind, Ms. Brielle, you might find it more comfortable to stay there.”

Brielle paused, taking a second look at him. He smiled, a mix of shrewdness and reassurance in his expression.

“I’ve been with Mr. Lynch for five years now, and I’ve never heard him mention any other woman while at work. So I figured you must be special. Even if Mr. Lynch found out, he wouldn’t blame me for suggesting it.”

Now Brielle was curious. How had Dustin spoken of her to this man? Was there a misunderstanding about her relationship with Dustin?

After all, Dustin was known as North America’s ultimate playboy, and she had already experienced his charm during their first encounter.

But Dustin did have one redeeming quality. Despite his notorious reputation, no woman had ever come forward to accuse him of being a heartbreaker. Brielle had never seen any such scandal in the news during the time she’d been paying attention.

It seemed that Dustin, for all his apparent casualness, was selective and discreet.

The chance to stay at Dustin’s villa wasn’t something she would turn down. It might even give her an opportunity to uncover more clues.

So, she agreed, first stopping by the hotel to pick up her small suitcase before heading to the villa.

Dustin’s villa was even closer to the sanatorium, likely chosen for its convenience in keeping an eye on the Lynch family matriarch, Desiree.

Once inside, Brielle couldn’t resist asking about the Lynch family.

“With Owen stepping back into the fray, do you have any idea how Dustin is taking it?”

She knew it was a probing question, and after a brief contemplation, the man simply replied, “Mr. Lynch will return.”

It was a diplomatic way of avoiding her question. Brielle wasn't one to push; she let it go.
