The door clicked shut behind Max, but his mind wasn't on the Dorsey family—he was thinking about Brielle.
Brielle was on her way back to the Premier Palace, with Addison behind the wheel. A quick glance in the rearview mirror told Addison they had a tail.
“Ms. Brielle, hold on tight,” Addison said, her voice calm and steady despite the danger.
Addison, trained to perfection, floored the gas pedal and expertly maneuvered the car, shaking off their pursuers with ease.
In the back seat, Brielle’s attention remained fixed on her phone, her expression unreadable. Keiran’s message had thrown her into turmoil.
Sarah was missing, and it was somehow connected to Dummy, which meant it was tied to Kenzo. Where was she now?
Brielle dialed Kenzo’s number, a hunch telling her he would pick up. As expected, his gentle voice came through the line, "Brielle."
But Brielle didn’t respond immediately; her mind was a whirlwind of emotions. After a few seconds, she finally spoke, her voice barely above a whisper, "Kenzo, are you in Beaconsfield?"
Dressed in a crisp white suit, Kenzo sat in front of a computer, his lips pressed into a thin line.
“You should know I’m not,” he replied, his voice as cool as ever.
Tapping away at his keyboard, Kenzo waited for her response. “Calling about the Lynch family business?”
Before Brielle could answer, a commotion outside caught Kenzo’s attention, and he let out a soft chuckle. “Seems I’m not the only one curious.”
He quickly wiped the computer clean and tossed it out the window, making his escape through a hidden passageway.
