Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) novel Chapter 910

Max hung up the phone with a heavy sigh, his gaze lingering on Brielle, who was peacefully asleep on the bed.

Lately, his phone had been ringing non-stop. On one hand, he was dealing with the intricacies of the Dorsey International takeover bid, and on the other, the internal issues at Infinity Brilliance.

Taking over a giant like Dorsey International was no small feat, even for a powerhouse like DreamTech Designs, and it demanded a lot of Max's attention.

As for Infinity Brilliance...

Max's eyes lowered, a familiar itch in his throat urging him to reach for a cigarette. With each day inching closer to next month, his restlessness grew. The medication he'd been relying on had run out, and he wasn't sure if he could make it through without it.

The Dorsey International deal was looming, and Michael was going to pay for what he'd done. The harm to Brielle had to be repaid.

Rubbing his temples, Max was about to try and get some rest when the phone rang again. This time, it was his doctor.

"Max, you've made up your mind, haven't you?"

Glancing out into the night's darkness, a flicker of pain crossed Max's eyes. "Yeah."

"I'll reach out to that contact, then."

Healthcare abroad was a whole different ballgame, dominated by capital. The truly wealthy had their own private physicians, creating an elite medical service strengthened by resources. These doctors, drawing high salaries, rarely made public appearances, available only through the right connections.

The private physician on the line with Max was well-regarded, frequently publishing in medical journals. She knew a top-notch hypnotist, a specialist so in demand that even the major family dynasties struggled to book an appointment. But she had a relationship with the hypnotist from previous conferences, and she was confident that they'd oblige for her sake—to treat Ms. Brielle.

Max's Wall Street empire was formidable, but his company's investment in medical ventures was minimal, with a focus on artificial intelligence research.

"Please, reach out to him. I've made my decision."

"Max, it's the best course of action right now, the only way to ensure Ms. Brielle isn't further harmed."

Max remained silent, the pain in his eyes deepening. After ending the call, the doctor immediately contacted her friend, the male physician, who readily agreed to help.

"What's her name?"

"Brielle. I'll send over her file right away."
