Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) novel Chapter 999

In the high-flying circles of North America, if you weren't as well-established as the Lynch family, any misstep at a gala could earn you the scorn of the elite. Brielle's silence at the event only solidified everyone's assumption that she was an imposter among them.

A tall bodyguard strode over, offering apologies to the distinguished guests for the disturbance. To be at this event, you were either an international superstar or a major investor. While there were a few gate-crashers, Brielle was the only one caught red-handed, and the online live stream viewers were going berserk, accusing her of embarrassing Australia.

"Why bother going there without an invite? It's not like she's strapped for cash," one commented.

"So embarrassing, just looking at this is making me cringe," another added.

"Our country's reputation is at stake now," lamented a third.

Celebrities had tried to sneak into the Oscars before, only to be ridiculed once their photos circulated back home. But this dinner was far more secure, and very few managed to infiltrate it. Brielle must have found a loophole, but being exposed like this was mortifying.

Alivia sipped her wine slowly as the bodyguard approached Brielle. "Brielle, you should know your place, coming from the humble beginnings of Welfare Mark. Stellar Stage Entertainment isn't big enough to be here, despite having a few lucky artists under your wing," she said, attributing Keiran and Aubree's success to mere fortune.

Alivia felt a surge of vindication as she watched Brielle's downfall, her lips curling into a smirk. "You might as well leave now. If the hosts pursue this, the reprimand you'll face will be far harsher."

As the bodyguard reached Brielle, she stepped back, ready to present her invitation. She didn't need one; her brother had told her that the Lynch family's name was the only invite she required. But since she didn't want her identity disclosed, her brother had secured an invitation for her, which she had shown to the staff upon entry. Alivia, however, hadn't witnessed that moment.

But as Brielle's hand dipped into her bag, Alivia shouted, "Careful, she might have a gun!"

The room froze. The two bodyguards in front of Brielle were the first to draw their weapons, pointing them at her head.

The title was brazen, given Alivia's audacity in the care home to call Desiree by that name. Desiree's eyebrows lifted slightly.

The crowd was shocked by Alivia's address. Could Alivia be the lost princess of the Lynch family that had been sought for so long? The search had gone on for years, and many assumed the daughter was irretrievable.

But now, a young woman in her twenties was calling Desiree "Grandma," and Desiree had made an appearance at this very event for her. It seemed she was ready to show support for the granddaughter she had just found.

Upon seeing Desiree, Brielle stiffened, and her eyes reddened with emotion. She remembered visiting Desiree, speaking the truth only while the elderly woman slept, for fear of causing her distress. Desiree's condition had been serious, but now she seemed much improved.

The guests began greeting Desiree politely, while Alivia, standing before her with a constant smile, seemed to relive her moment at the center of attention.
