"I've already called Lyman,"
Lucy told Sadie. "When you tell him about what happened, you must tell him that I was miserably bullied in the crew, especially by Daryl!"
"All right,"
Sadie replied.
They had already done this before, but this time, Sadie had a bad feeling about it though she didn't know why.
Outside the hospital
A yellow sports car drew a beautiful arc from afar as it drifted at the intersection. Accompanied by the screeching sound of tires rubbing against the ground, the sports car stopped at the roadside.
Then, the door was opened from a unique angle, and a pair lavish leather shoes appeared.
"Wow, that man looks so dashing!"
"Is he a recently rising celebrity? I've never heard of him!
"He's so good-looking. I want to go over there and ask for his phone number!"
The man was young and dapper. His long, narrow eyes were enticing. His skin was fair, and his nose bridge was pleasing to the eyes. His lips were thin, and the corners of his mouth were slightly curved upward. He was wearing a mischievous and entrancing smile. The black suit he was wearing looked so luxurious. As he stood beside the equally-handsome sports car, he held an outstanding presence that couldn't be ignored.
Lyman had gotten used to hearing women squeal wherever he went. Seconds later, he took out a bouquet of roses from the car, wore his sunglasses, and went into the hospital.
"Excuse me, miss. I'm looking for Lucy Guan's ward."
Leaning against the counter, Lyman took off his sunglasses and winked at the nurse.
The nurse felt mildly abashed. "She is in the VIP Ward 203," she answered.
"Thanks!"
Lyman smiled and left. The nurse's face was still as red as a tomato.
"Hi, honey!"
Lyman greeted her warmly as soon as he entered Lucy's ward. "I came to visit you!"
"Honey, you're finally here!" Lucy looked at him with distress in her eyes.
"This is for you, honey. Flowers befit a beauty like you."
Lyman had always been romantic and sensible to women.
Taking the roses from him, Lucy kissed him with delight. "Thank you, honey!"
As she was watching this scene unfold before her, Sadie's face darkened. 'Have they forgotten that this is a hospital? What the hell is wrong with Lyman? Why did he bring roses to a hospital? Did he think it was Valentine's Day or something?'
"Sir, please excuse me. I'm going to get Lucy's medicine."
Sadie couldn't stand it anymore, so she made an excuse to leave the ward.
After she left the room, Lyman sat beside Lucy and asked, "Honey, what happened to you? Why did you get hospitalized?"
"It's fine. Something just happened while I was on set,"
Lucy answered, pretending to be relaxed. "It's not a big deal. Accidents can sometimes happen while I shoot a film."
"Is that so?"
Lyman sensed her grievance. Frowning, he asked, "Did someone bully you?"
As far as he was concerned, his family was the biggest investor of the movie. Even though Zack was actually the biggest investor, Lyman still considered him as part of his family.
