Mr. Conrad Proposes to His Ex-wife Again novel Chapter 1280

After Archer left, Vincent still walked up to Grace and looked at the injury on her forehead, "Are you better?"
Grace hugged the doll and nodded gently, but her face was unspeakably aggrieved.
Vincent coughed, "Well, let me take you back."
Sitting in the car, Grace kept looking out the window.
Vincent remembered what Archer had just said to him and spoke, "In a couple of days, Nathan will come to pick you up, so you can go back with him then."
Grace snapped her head around and looked at him with big eyes, as if to ask, "Aren't you coming along?
Vincent added: "I ... still have things to deal with over here, you stay with him first, and I'll go back after a while."
Grace was quiet for a moment and whispered, "Are you doing this because you don't want to see me."
Vincent was shocked: "Who told you that?"
Grace lowered her head again, "No, I guessed it myself."
"So why do you ... have this idea?"
"Because you took me out to play and I got hurt and you had a bad time, so you don't want to take me out to play in the future."
Vincent: "..."
What had he done to make her think such terrible thoughts.
Vincent said, "I admit that there is indeed a reason for this, but not because I am not having fun, because ... I think that I am quite unreliable, you will only get hurt if you follow me."
Archer is right, this time it's a minor injury, next time it could be a major one.
Grace's head hung even lower: "But you will tell me so much about my brother."
"Actually, I made those up ..." Vincent said squarely, "and they can tell you, too, what you want to hear, and I'll have Nathan tell you."
Grace did not speak again.
In the car, it was quiet again.
Upon arriving at Vincent's residence, Grace got out of the car and locked herself in her room.
Vincent stood at the door of the room, reached out his hand to knock, and withdrew it.
He is really not going to coax a small child, especially or ... angry and disturbed.
Not long after, Vincent's cell phone rang, it was a friend asking him to go out for a drink, he was a little impatient: "No."
A friend joked, "Is that little fool in your family not letting you go again."
Vincent said, "What nonsense, moreover, how is she stupid, she just thinks differently from us, she is much smarter than you."
"Don't you always say she's a little fool, why are you still in a hurry."
Vincent: "..."
He hung up the phone in annoyance.
Vincent nestled in the couch, looking up at the overhead light and wondering what he was thinking.
I don't know how long it took, but there was a sudden movement behind me.
Grace walked up to him with the doll in her arms and then handed him a picture.
Vincent reached out and took it, wondering, "What does that mean."
"This is a picture of my brother, and I'll give you one."
"... Thank you."
"You're welcome."
He carries Justin's picture around with him and really has nightmares.
Grace ran back into the room, the movement sparse.
Vincent walked over and found her packing her things.
He leaned on the door of the room: "There are still two days to go, what are you doing packing these now."
Without speaking, Grace took a few more things out and stuffed them in his arms.
Vincent hung his head and looked at the two small dolls.
All right, as long as it's not a picture of Justin, it's fine.
Grace's things, packed half of them and gave half to Vincent.
She tilted her head and asked him, "Will you still come to see me later."
