Mr. Powell Is Hunting for His Wife novel Chapter 36

Madame Powell took note of Anna’s name and handed it over to the housekeeper, “Investigate this right away.”

A woman with no background tried digging gold in our home, nonsense!

Only Mirabelle could be married into the Powell family.

No other woman would be allowed!

Harper did as requested by Brooklyn, he bought everything Mirabelle smacked, sent it to the office and texted Diana.

“Ms. Miller, we are so sorry. Ms. Moss came to the office today and damage some of your stuff… Mr. Powell had ordered me to buy a new one. But the perfume and your latest designs on your desk…”

Diana answered the call unconsciously.

She drank a few glasses of red wine last night and hangover for the entire day!

Harper’s voice was as soft as a mosquito’s buzz, she couldn’t hear it.

“Mr. Gibson, please speak up.” Diana leaned against the head of the bed and pressing on her temples to relieve some pain.

Harper stunned realizing that Anna had just woken up.

He repeated what he said.

After a moment of silence, he heard Diana mocked.

“Oh, it seems like Lady Moss don’t like me. It's fine the perfume was broken, asked Mr. Powell to write me a cheque, I made the perfume and my starting price for creating a new fragrance for others is five million. Since Mr. Powell and I are considered acquaintances, I will give a twenty per cent discount. Ask Mr. Powell to write me a four million cheque will do.”

Damaged accidentally?

Who would believe that? Guess her sister was angry that she was the reason for the collaboration between Powell and Hillvie and threw her tantrum at the office. She wasn’t there so she smacked her things like revenge.

Although creating a new fragrance was not hard, but since it was Mirabelle that broke it, of course, she would have to pay the price.

That was the price of being Brooklyn’s fiancée.

A fiancé was supposed to pay the debt owed by the fiancée.

Harper was shocked, four million…

This was overpriced, Ms. Miller had a huge appetite!

But on second thought, Ms. Miller was being reasonable too, Mirabelle was indeed Mr. Powell’s fiancée, it was reasonable that he had to pay her debt!

“So Ms. Miller, things are settled here?” Harper asked.

Diana shook, “That was only for the perfume, what about my designing drafts? Do you know what the most important thing is for a perfumer? Inspiration! Those drafts consist of the collections of my inspiration! The future Mrs. Powell damaged all my inspirations…”

Harper, “…” It seemed what she said was reasonable, should he ask Mr. Powell?

Harper hung up and delivered Diana’s message to Brooklyn.

It made him smile.

“She said that?”

Harper nodded. “Yes, everything I said was from Ms. Miller. Mr. Powell, I think Ms. Miller was being reasonable, I searched her website, and the starting price of her new fragrance was indeed five million.”

“Do as she asked.”

“What do you mean by do as she asked?” Harper was confused, he meant to write her a four million cheque?

Diana who woke up by Harper’s call threw her mobile on the bed and walked to the living hall.

The children were watching TV.

Emily saw her mom coming and put down the remote, “Mommy, whose clothes are those on the couch? Did someone visited us yesterday?”

Diana glanced at the black suit on the sofa and realized that she had to send Brooklyn’s suit to the laundry.
