Mr. Powell Is Hunting for His Wife novel Chapter 48

There seemed to be the remnant fragrance of the red wine on the man’s lips.

Dianna kissed him in a moment of impulse. But when she tasted Brooklyn’s lips, her mind exploded. She thought that she was screwed. She had many ways to make an explanation, why did she choose the stupidest one?

Just as Brooklyn commented before, her kissing skill sucked as she never kissed the other man before.

All her kissing experiences were related to Brooklyn and he was always the dominant one.

This time, she took the initiative to kiss him. But she only had the guts, but not the experience.

She replayed the plots in romantic movies in her mind, yet this didn’t cover her inexperience.

A trace of surprise flashed across Brooklyn’s eyes, but it disappeared soon. He unbuckled Dianna’s seat belt while at the same time unfastening his own seatbelt and then sat back onto the driver’s seat with Dianna on his legs.

The lipstick on her lips had been half mudded off in the kiss just now.

And Brooklyn’s lips were tinged with the lipstick.

Dianna’s mind went blank.

Her current posture exposed a large part of the skin of her thighs.

The design of the evening dress fully exposed her pale skin.

With one hand on Dianna’s waist, Brooklyn caressed his lips with the other hand.

As expected there was lipstick on his lips. He looked at the red lipsticks on his finger gloomily.

“Is this your answer?” His voice sounded low and husky. He looked up at the woman who had a red face due to embarrassment.

A touch of confusion flashed across Dianna’s eyes. She then quickly realized that the man was asking about her purpose to stay by his side.

“Mr. Powell, the reason why I stay in the Powell Group is that…”

Before she could finish the words, Brooklyn slightly increased the force on her waist and then concealed her lips with his lips again.

The fragrance of the wine was gradually transmitted to her mouth and Dianna felt the oxygen in her lung was soon drained out.

The man’s action was neither quick nor slow. It was as if he deliberately kissed her slowly so that it would give her time to adapt to it.

When the kiss was over, Dianna felt dizzy and she only came to her sense after a long while.

This kiss lasted much longer than their first kiss and she almost forgot her original aspiration in the kiss.

Brooklyn licked away most of her lipsticks during the kiss and the original color of her lips was exposed.

Her pinky reds became red because of the kiss.

Dianna heartbeat was so quick and she still failed to calm down herself after a long while.

When she thought that Brooklyn would continue to ask her questions, the man’s husky voice sounded in the car.

“How long are you going to stay on my legs?”

Dianna, “…”

She came back to the passenger seat and buckled up the seatbelt.

With his hands on the steering wheel, Brooklyn said in a flat tone, “I will not probe into the purpose why you join the Powell Group as long as you can develop a perfume that will have a good sales volume after its launch.”

His voice was so calm as if he was not the one who kissed her just now.

Dianna looked out of the window and replied with a nasal sound nonchalantly.

“As for the matter of Mirabelle, I hope you won’t intervene in it. I told you that as long as I’m present, I won’t allow her to hurt you. If you’re smart, you should evade having an argument with her.”

The connotation was: What Dianna did in the evening party today was so foolish.

Dianna pressed her lips together. After a long while, she suddenly chuckled.

“Mr. Powell, I brought trouble to you in the evening party today. I’m sorry.”

Mirabelle would pretend to be innocent to win others’ sympathy. So could Dianna.

But it was true that she did make a trouble for Brooklyn today.
