Mr. Powell Is Hunting for His Wife novel Chapter 60

Diana hadn’t noticed that the man’s gaze on her wasn’t just pure appreciation.

Brooklyn had never been so interested in a woman.

Probably, six years ago, he was interested in a woman as well, but she was gone too soon just like a meteor.

“Mr. Powell, your final purpose was to guarantee that my perfume could be put on the market as planned, right?” Diana could roughly figure out his intention as soon as she saw him.

A few traces of fear to Brooklyn surged in her heart.

After finishing her words, Diana raised her head, meeting Brooklyn’s eyes. She stiffed in an instant.

Brooklyn was emanating a strong temperament now.

As his assistant, Diana usually would work with him in the same office, so she could often feel his aura as a superior man.

But right at this moment, the aura emanated from him wasn’t that from a superior man, but that from a hunter.

Diana subconsciously swallowed, wondering if she had said something wrong just now.

Brooklyn’s current charisma reminded Diana of the night six years ago.

She slightly clenched her hands into fists and became alert. “Mr. Powell?” she called him.

Brooklyn’s ink-black eyes became a bit softened. Looking at her clenched fists, he was a bit taken aback.

She had already been frightened after he just tested her slightly. Why was she so bold to flirt with him?

Thinking about that Anna pretended to be a tough woman but quite timid actually, Brooklyn curled up his lips into a smile.

“Anna, you are quite smart, but you still need to deal with the employees outside, OK?” Brooklyn became quite interested. He intentionally approached her ear and put his lips on her earlobe.

He continued as if he was whisper sweet words to his lover, stressing each syllable, “You must set up your prestige. This is my command to you.”

His deep and sexy voice swept over Diana’s ear with his breath.

Her heart hammered.

Her ears also blushed unconsciously.

Although she was a mother with two kids, she had never fallen in love with a man before.

She even didn’t have been so intimated to another man after that night.

Brooklyn squinted. He parted his thin lips and left a light bite mark on her ear.

Diana was frightened and shrunk. She directly pushed him away.

“Mr... Mr... Mr. Powell, I’m a professional and serious assistant!”

Brooklyn wasn’t annoyed after being pushed away.

He was patient and believed that he had plenty of time to pester with her.

Brooklyn curled up his lips delightfully. He asked leisurely and affectionately, “I didn’t ask you to do anything not serious.”

His lowered voice was a bit hoarse.

He sounded deadly hot.

Diana tried her best to suppress her sped-up heartbeat, slightly blushing.

Her ears were super sensitive. If someone blew into her ears, she would become weakened.

Just now, Brooklyn bit her gently, and she almost collapsed onto the sofa.

“Then, please don’t bite me,” said Diana after biting the bullets, “Mr. Powell, if you do so, I’ll mistake that you have a crush on me. In that case, if I have any evil intention to you, it’ll all be your responsibility.”

“Who kissed me when we first met?”

Brooklyn was quite calm, leaning against the back of the sofa at leisure.

He crossed his slender legs and put his fair hands on top of his knees, waiting for the fish to bite the bait patiently.

Diana shut up and didn’t utter any word.

It seemed that it was she who kissed him...

Seeing that she was silent, Brooklyn faintly smiled. He said, “You can have evil intentions for me. I’ll wait and see how far you could go.”

Diana blinked in confusion.

The woman, who was always calm when facing everything, became a bit puzzled and startled now.

She wondered what he meant by saying that.
