“Sarah? Sarah?”
The next morning, as her eyes tried to open, the light rays shone in and stung the eyes.
When she woke up, Sarah didn’t expect Anne, and the rest came to visit her.
If she wasn’t mistaken, this was S city.
“Anne, is that you?”
Sarah sat up immediately and hugged the person seated next to the bed, her familiar smell, it was like a dream.
“Of course it’s me, it’s me.”
Anne also hugged her and patted her back.
Thereafter, Anne pinched her own face to amuse Sarah.
Beside them, Ernest crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. The golden framed glass sat high on the bridge of his nose. He didn’t say anything and just nodded as a form of greeting.
“How come you are here?” Sarah asked Anne.
When asked this question, Anne’s expression changed and was sullen, “Matthew asked me to come. He said that you were at the hospital and I bought an air ticket and came that very night. I was so worried, are you fine now?”
Why was she hospitalized?
“…I’m fine now.” Sarah was still fearful and asked, “Where is he?”
Anne covered her chin with half her hand and said, “He is working next door. He looks so busy and yet it’s all for your Cox family. What’s in it for him?”
Sarah signaled her not to ask further and shook her head.
Anne rolled her eyes and knew it wasn’t her business and changed the topic, “Strange, it looked like Matthew didn’t come with you. Why did you come to S city?
“I didn’t come here alone…”
Sarah just realized that an entire night had passed and she didn’t contact Andrew.
Oh yes, where is he?
“Andrew?” Anne guessed correctly.
Sarah knew that she can’t hide any longer and nodded her head.
“Where is he? Where did he go to? His own wife is hospitalized and was saved by someone else, doesn’t he have any decency?”
Sarah looked at Anne when she said that last portion. Indeed it was strange, where did Andrew go last night?
She remembered the old man saying that he was going to stop him, then what happened?
He didn’t even reveal himself for the entire night.
Next door-
The sun came into the room through the windows. The man’s hands were busy typing on the keyboard concentrating on his work. The phone which was on the table was vibrating endlessly. No matter how many rings and calls, he didn’t pick it up.
Sarah moved slightly and felt her body aching. Yesterday she was too forceful during her struggles. She was still slightly shaken by what happened last night.
“What exactly have you gone through?” Anne couldn’t endure it further and demanded that she come clean.
… A length of explanation…
“Oh my god! It’s good you’re fine, thank goodness.”
After she made a hand gesture of praying, she immediately hugged Anne tightly and became emotional.
Why does she keep meeting with such tragedies?
