Sarah looked at the pregnancy kit, took out the box, and looked at the manufacturing date. She frowned, “Anne, this was produced three years ago, is it still reliable?”

“Three years ago?”

Anne didn’t believe and snatched it over to verify. True enough, it was made three years ago!

They were speechless.

Sarah shook her head and threw the kit into the trash bin together with the box, “Forget it, I don’t need all these. If I’m really pregnant, I’ll go to the doctor to check.”

Anne pointed towards the next room where Matthew was working.

The two of them quietly left the room and walked to the maternity ward.

Sarah was wearing the patient gown and the doctor was quick to inspect her. He took out a receipt and gave it to her, “Wait outside, we’ll inform you once the results are out.”

“Thanks doctor.”

Anne supported her out and already started to treat Sarah as a pregnant woman.

“Anne, I’m not so weak, don’t need to hold onto me.”

Sarah couldn’t stand her constant care. She held onto her, cleared her way, constantly telling her how to take better care of herself. She was like an annoying mosquito buzzing in her ears. She had already forgotten how to walk normally.

“Who was she?”

Anne was stunned and she used a hand to wave in front of Sarah when she noticed that she didn’t say anything.

The world is at times truly small. It was so small that she was in the maternity ward and she was too.

“Is this… Emily?”

Anne looked at Emily as she went in for her tests and laughed, “Wait for me, I’ll be done soon.”

This was incredible and totally unexpected.

What are the chances that she could meet Emily in S City?

“Sarah, was that Emily who just went in?” Anne asked just in case she made a mistake.

This is S city and not H city!

“That’s her.” She pursed her lips and answered without any hesitation.

It was as if her entire body fell into the deep ocean and there was no safety line. She will drown right there.

She had difficulty breathing.

“How can that be? Why is she here? Furthermore, didn’t Andrew say that he won’t see her anymore? She was alone.”

Sarah breathed deeply as if her neck was constricted by something and barely exhaled.

She almost erupted but she managed to suppress her temper. She held onto Anne’s hand and her eyes teared up, “Did I do something wrong again, how many cruel events must I accept?”

Anne knew that she must be very hurt. Emily appeared out of the blue at the hospital and last night Andrew disappeared. All these can easily be linked unless you don’t want to see the truth.
